Driver Programs

We have developed a driver benefits program that includes everything from insurance, repairs, tires to family entertainment.

Plate Purchasing Program: This is a program that was developed to help the driver pay for his plates. The driver will call TCI and will ask for Glenda or Susan to make them a promissory note that they will pay back TCI the full amount. TCI will not charge any interest for 2 months and if there is any money left over TCI will charge a 12% interest until the money is paid.
Investment Opportunities: This will be done through the escrow account for drivers if they want to put more money in their escrow and accumulate a certain percentage of interest.
Group Insurance Benefits Plan: TCI will offer optional health, dental, life and disability insurance for drivers through High Mark and Kanawha insurance company.
TCI Loan: In a as needed bases with a certain interest rate.
Credit Union: Through TCI drivers will be able to apply to a credit union and receive all of their benefits that they offer.
Truck Discounts: TCI drivers will be able to get fuel discounts on all TA truck stops with their Comdata card. Also drivers could get discounts with Bridgestone for tires and repairs.
Personal Discounts: TCI drivers will be able to get discounts on Dell, Sprint and Six Flags for personal or family purposes.

Driver Requirements

Must be 23 years of age
Must have at least 6 months experience in handling containers with a CDL (Commercial drivers license) for 2 years, OR 5 years driving with a CDL.
Social Security card and/or Birth Certificate
Medical Card and Physical examination form
Must have Hazardous Endorsement
Must have Bobtail Insurance

New Orleans to: Texas, Florida, Mississippi, Alabama, Arkansas and Tennessee
Houston to: Louisiana, California, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Arkansas
Dallas to: Louisiana, California, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Arkansas
Baltimore to: Virginia, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Virginia, Delaware, DC and New Jersey
Miami to: South Carolina, Alabama, Mississippi, Georgia and North Carolina
Jacksonville to: South Carolina, Alabama, Mississippi, Georgia and North Carolina

Driver Safety

We strive to have the safest professional drivers on the road, with continuous positive reinforcement for safe drivers. We also have many different seminars and training sessions, such as the Search Interpret Time Execute program (S.I.T.E.), Driver Tiredness Program, Hazardous Material Training, Truck Driver and Cargo Security Training, Hours of Service Training, which help reeducate the professional drivers.
